Kerry was born on July 9th, 1959 and left us on May 31st, 2007 due to colon cancer. He was an adorable baby. And I'm not just saying that because he's my baby brother.
I was the oldest of four children, and Kerry was the youngest. I guess that's why I always tried to protect him. Even Kevin had that protective nature. Look at him with his arm around Kerry.
This picture was taken at Grandma and Grandpa Anderson's place at Christmas. It must have been 1960.
This picture was taken probably at Easter. My Mom was always taking pictures of us. And she always made sure we looked our best. Aren't those cute suits and ties the boys wore? And look at me sporting socks and hush puppies. Yikes!
Oh, and aren't we cute at Halloween? It looks like Shawn is ready for bed. Oh, and I can see that we had our ID bracelets on back then. Our parents always tried to protect us.
Here we are watching a 4th of July parade go by. That's our cousin Mike sitting between Shawn and Kevin. That's Grandma sitting behind us wearing the hat. It must have been a slow parade, it looks like Grandma is looking down the street toward the next float or marching band.
Kerry had such cute curly hair. This is one of my all time favorite pictures of him.
Here we are up in Waupaca.
Carving pumpkins. Halloween 1962.
And here we are in our costumes. That's me, the astronaut (yeah, that definitely looks like an astronaut, right???), Shawn is Wilma Flintstone, Kevin is Popeye and Kerry is a clown - with a bunny face. What???
Kerry enjoyed playing music... either playing the organ...
or the violin... |
He also enjoyed fishing... |
still fishing... |
He also enjoyed a good game of pool. We all learned to play on a warped pool table.
Then it was more of a challenge when we played on a flat table.
"Watch out for the black ball, Grandma."
Playing checkers with Uncle Jim... |
Kerry liked camping in the back yard. This was his first day of school. |
Playing ping pong with Kevin. |
Playing rock-em, sock-em robots with Grandma. It must have been a new Christmas present. |
